Speaker: Dr. Christian Kreibich (Corelight/ICSI)
Title: “They Expect Results” — Perspectives on Network Security Monitoring from Academia and Industry
Bio: Dr. Kreibich received his Diplom in Computer Science from TUM in 2002 and then completed the Ph.D. program at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory where he was one of the brains juggled by Jon Crowcroft, his supervisor and pub coach. In 2006 he moved on to ICSI’s Networking and Security group, where he is a senior research scientist. Dr. Kreibich’s research focuses on topics in network monitoring, distributed systems, and network security. From 2012 until mid-2017 he headed the networking team at Lastline. From 2014 through 2015 he served on OISF’s advisory board. Dr. Kreibich is currently enjoying a return to all things Bro at Corelight.
